3-5. Hello! My name is Emma Langston, and I’m the Speech-Language Pathologist at Bales. I studied at Baylor University, where I earned a minor in ASL Interpreting and served as President of the ASL Club — so you can say I’m a bit in love with this amazing language!

In this class, your student will dive into the world of American Sign Language (ASL) through fun, interactive lessons. We’ll learn the alphabet, numbers, greetings, everyday signs, and explore how facial expressions and body language help us communicate. Students will also discover the rich history and culture of the Deaf Community, helping them appreciate ASL as more than just a language — it’s a bridge to connection and inclusion!

No supplies needed — just curious hands and an eagerness to learn! Each student will receive handouts, practice materials, and take-home activities so they can keep signing even after the class ends. My goal is for every student to walk away with a new skill and a lifelong love for ASL!
